  • Mike Grimsley forms Ashwood Properties

  • 1987
  • Mike Grimsley and Cole Forsyth partner to form Ashwood Development Company

  • 1989
  • Ashwood begins neighborhoods in suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, in East Cobb, Roswell and Forsyth County

  • 1990
  • Ashwood develops relationships with Atlanta builders, including John Willis Homes

  • 1993-2000
  • Ashwood Development focuses its developments in "in-fill" locations in the City of Atlanta, City of Decatur and unincorporated DeKalb County

  • 1996-2000
  • Ashwood establishes neighborhoods in suburbs of intown Atlanta: Virginia Highlands, Emory, Buckhead and Morningside

  • 1997
  • Ashwood develops outside the Atlanta perimeter in Alpharetta

  • 2000
  • Ashwood builds at Buford Highway

  • 2001
  • Ashwood diversifies into Florida markets
  • Ashwood completes its development, Longleaf in Buckhead

  • 2002
  • Ashwood expands property development at St. George Island in Florida
  • Ashwood acquires property in Florida -- Cypress Dunes
  • Ashwood acquires land known as Turtle Cove at Lake Powell and numerous lots along the 30-A corridor

  • 2003
  • Ashwood acquires land known as Jubilation
  • Ashwood expands, moving from Ponce de Leon to Dutch Valley Place

  • 2004
  • Ashwood purchases 950 coastal acres known as Fanning Bayou
  • Ashwood acquires property known as Ovation on Cape San Blas
  • Jack Williams joins as Chief Operating Officer
